Amongst the many and varied choices of natural therapy treatment options, why
should someone have a kinesiology balance and not naturopathy, massage,
acupuncture, reiki, energetic healing, bowen therapy, just to name a few? There is absolutely nothing wrong with these
therapies, in fact, they are all wonderful when a person finds the
right treatment (and therapist) for their health issue. But here
is where kinesiology has an advantage, particularly with professional
kinesiology practice, because it incorporates elements of all these therapies
and more. It's like having a smorgasboard of treatment options which a person’s body,
through its innate intelligence, decides what it most needs.
Kinesiology is a therapy that is difficult to explain
because it can sound weird and “out there” and anything that is written doesn’t
do the experience of having a kinesiology treatment justice. In simple terms, it uses information gained from muscle testing (a bio-feedback mechanism) to
identify those things preventing a client from having optimal health
or reaching their full potential. Kinesiology aims to uncover and treat the cause behind presenting symptoms. I
like to compare muscle testing to a computer and mouse. You need the mouse to click on the screen to
access the information stored in the computer’s hard drive or memory. A body’s muscles can be used like the mouse
to access all the information stored in the person’s “hard drive”. The kinesiologist is like the IT specialist
on the “help desk” – they know how to search through the information and find
out what is not working right with the computer and offer solutions to make it
run more smoothly and efficiently.
It is difficult to explain or appreciate how at any moment of a kinesiology balance you suddenly have a profound realisation why some area of your life is not working for you and then work through the best solution or changes that will help you get the outcome you want.
Kinesiology can work on structural, emotional, nutritional,
mental and spiritual issues. Consultations
can be made for (but not limited too): muscle pain, injury, tightness or trauma,
jaw problems (grinding, clicking, locking, pain), joint issues (shoulder, hip,
knees), learning difficulties, nutritional issues including immune mismatch
responses, stress management , unresolved trauma, vocal cord problems, poor
vision, anxiety, nervousness, and
irritability.
So, why not try it sometime?
